The single most important factor separating a reliable security device from a flimsy piece of metal is how well the cylinder resists a determined drill bit. You need something heavy enough to make a thief walk right past your trailer and choose an easier target instead.
Finding the Best Puck Locks means looking past flashy marketing and focusing purely on hardened steel and hidden shackles. Let us break down the top choices so you can secure your gear with total peace of mind.
Key Takeaways
- Prioritize models featuring hidden shackles because exposed metal bars give bolt cutters too much leverage.
- Always check if the locks are keyed alike when buying multipacks so you do not have to carry a massive, clunky keyring.
- Look for solid aluminum or hardened steel construction to withstand heavy hammer blows and weather corrosion over time.
- Verify the exact shackle opening dimensions before purchasing to guarantee compatibility with your specific hasp or latch.
- Invest in multipacks from the start to secure multiple doors on the same utility trailer or moving truck easily.
